Sarsons Malty Battered Onions

Sarsons Malty Battered Onions

Sarsons Malty Battered Onions

This is super easy! and personally I prefer this way of battering onions than the traditional way and it’s really quick and I think tastes soooo much better! Also since I tend towards a high protein wheat-free diet, I love using coconut flour as it’s pure protein and lighter than  using almond flour.

Sarsons Malted Onions in batter

2 large white onions sliced into 0.5cm width.

half a cup of Sarsons Malted Vinegar

1 egg

1 cup of coconut flour
Slice large white oniosn to a medium thickness and soak in Sarsons
malt vinegar 4 hours.

Take two dishes and in one beat an egg,  in the other place some flour. Dab onion rings dry with kitchen roll.
Carefully take an onion ring, dip in the egg so it covers it, then place in the flour, covering fully.

Heat 2cm vegetable oil in a pan.
Once hot you can gently place the battered onion rings in and cook till golden 2-4ms. Serve with Branston Worcester sauce.
