BBB Popcorn – Bloody Brilliant Bacon Popcorn!

OK, if you are a bacon fiend like myself (I was a vegetarian for 4 years until bacon lured me back!) then you are going to sooooo love this and it’s super simple. Pretty much works similarly to the Malted Raspberry Popcorn, so here goes!

1 tbsp. vegetable oil

50g popcorn kernals

healthy pinch of sea salt

50g salted butter

1 tbsp. vegetable oil

200g bacon lardons

Ok so this is a really quick dish. Heat tbsp. of oil in a pot that has a lid until slightly smoking. Drop in the popcorn kernals, shake around till all coated in oil, replace lid, and heat on medium heat until all popcorn has popped.

In another pot, melt the butter and cook 1 tbsp. of oil and the lardons of bacon until golden on medium heat. (cooking butter with oil stops it burning and going black)

Keep heat on low, and take 1/4 of the popcorn you’ve already made and add it to the bacon pot, shake around, then keep adding each quarter of popcorn until it’s all in there. Be quick and shake around, tip out into your feeding trough, sprinkle some sea salt and hey presto! a seriously good munch!!
