New York Deli Spagetti

New York Deli Pasta

I don’t know about you but I just love the taste of a New York Deli sub, the delicious mix of pastrami, gherkins and mustard sets my taste buds alight! But not being a great bread eater I wanted another way to enjoy these flavours so hey presto and here it is! This is a seriously wicked combination!

110g Pastrami chopped into squares

340g of chopped gherkins (I prefer sliced and then quartered as the right bite size)

1/2 tsp chopped garlic

1/2 tsp. yellow mustard powder

1 tsp. olive oil

1 tsp. Mizkan sushi vinegar

200ml single cream

ground pepper to taste/pinch of sea salt

250g spagetti (I used gluten free and you wouldn’t know the difference and no bloating 🙂 boiled for 10ms.

Heat the oil in a pan, add the garlic and cook on a medium heat until garlic is translucent. Add the vinegar.

Add the chopped gherkins and pastrami and cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes.

Add the cream and stir, then add the mustard powder and stir, add salt and pepper to taste and allow to simmer for 5ms.

Drain the spagetti, place on plate and spoon over NYD mixture and you’re done! You could add some parmasan shavings but it’s so full of flavour you probably won’t need to!
